My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were nice-sized, but the bathrooms were very small. We had a view over the city instead of the river, which was pleasant. However, despite requesting a quiet room, we ended up right across from the elevator, making it anything but quiet.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth. The location is superb, right in the heart of Portsmouth near the famous flood wall murals and just steps away from the Municipal Courthouse. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and well-trained. While the dining options could be improved, the overall experience was fantastic.

My room had an old-fashioned round bowl and seat, but it was really comfortable, like every other Holiday Inn. The pool area is also beautiful and very clean.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The rooms were nice sized, although the bathrooms were on the smaller side. They were well set up for business travelers heading into Kentucky. The service was top-notch, akin to the Marriott Courtyard or Hilton Garden Inn style, always friendly and well-trained, making sure my family and I were well taken care of. The location was convenient, right in the center of Portsmouth just steps away from the famous flood wall murals. Dining options were good, but a bit costly, so it's worth exploring other food choices in the area. Overall, a solid choice for a comfortable stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location was convenient for visiting Shawnee State University and provided easy access to local restaurants, but it was a shame I didn't have time to fully enjoy the Fun Town atmosphere. The service was friendly, but there were some issues with the bar closing early and limited dining options on site. The rooms lacked proper ventilation, which was disappointing, but they did offer essential fitness facilities for a quick workout.

Rooms
7.0
The interior hallways and rooms overlooked the river and the beautiful bridge into Kentucky. However, the lack of an exhaust fan meant the rooms retained odors. They had basic fitness equipment like a bike, treadmill, and free weights.
Service

Location
8.0
The hotel's location was pretty good in Portsmouth, OH, providing easy access to Noggins and local restaurants. The property was huge but underutilized, contributing to a Fun Town vibe that I wished I had more time to enjoy.
Dining

Dining options were limited on-site, and the provided donuts were from Tim Horton's. Be prepared for potentially high dining costs or explore restaurants in the city.
Facilities

The hotel offered basic fitness facilities but lacked proper room ventilation, which was disappointing.
